Support for Self-Employed people impacted by coronavirus COVID-19
Financial support for self-employed workers impacted by coronavirus has been announced.
The package is called the Self-Employed Income Support Scheme. Self-employed workers can claim up to 80% of their monthly wages, up to a maximum of £2,500 each month.
Unfortunately this does not include directors, who are technically employees of their limited companies.
Self-employed workers must have filed a tax return for 2019 to qualify.
Their yearly profits must not be more than £50,000
The majority of earnings must be as a self-employed person (so that you are dependant on these earnings).
